Most people know that they should wash their face. However, many people often underestimate the importance of a thorough skin care routine. There are certain products that you should use daily, weekly, and monthly, and there is a correct order in which to apply them.
Elements of a Basic skin care Routine
- Wash with a gentle cleanser. If you have specific skin concerns like dry skin, or sensitive skin, you may want to select a cleanser specifically for those needs.
- Apply medication or treatment. This is where you might apply a toner, acne treatment, or other specialized product.
- Apply moisturizer and/or sunscreen. We recommend using a moisturizer with a built-in SPF of 30 or more. Coola’s Mineral Face Matte Sunscreen and Revision skin care’s TruPhysical are both beloved options among our staff! (Hint: We also sell them at the front counter!)
- Apply makeup, if desired.
