Savannah River Dermatology started in 2008, and has served the patients of the CSRA in their dermatological needs for many years. After starting on Furys Ferry Rd, we have recently moved to their newly constructed building at 575 Furys Ferry Rd. The practice has continued to grow, and more space was needed to accommodate the needs of patients. We are thrilled to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, as well as convenient location, to better serve you.
As native Augustans, Drs. Duckworth, Cely and Parviainen, as well as Savanna Perry, PA-C, and Tracey Shaffer, PA-C provide complete dermatology care to their patients. We all strive to make our patients feel like family and provide the most up to date treatment options available. We’re happy to answer all of your dermatology questions and help you to be involved in your care. Our normal business hours where we can be contacted are Monday through Thursday from 8:15-4:30, and Fridays from 8:15-11:30.
The providers of Savannah River Dermatology offer general and surgical dermatology services, as well as multiple cosmetic procedures. The cosmetic procedures include botulinum toxin, filler treatments, superficial chemical peels, and pulse dye laser treatments. As a practice, the fundamental role of the providers will continue to focus on helping patients understand their condition, the available treatment options, and the overall importance of sun protection.
Along with the services we offer, we carry Revision cosmeceuticals and Coola sunscreen products. These are lines that we feel confident in and use personally on a daily basis for sun prevention and anti-aging purposes. We would love to help you develop a personalized skincare regimen.
In regards to general advice for sun protection, Dr. Duckworth states, “Your sunscreen should have a minimum SPF of 30, and we recommend having your skin examined annually to look for new growths or suspicious moles.” Dr. Cely adds, “It’s also important to reapply sunscreen frequently, and if you notice a new spot that is changing or not healing, consider having it looked at.”
With our new blog, we hope to provide basic information about common skin ailments, as well as tips and tricks to help you keep your skin as healthy as possible. If there’s a topic you’d like to learn more about, feel free to let us know!
